Arboricultural Implications Assessment & Design Issues

Whilst the tree constraints plan provides a design aid for site layout, the arboricultural implications of the design layout impact on determining the trees to be retained and removed. These implications include:

  • Amenity value and local character
  • Designated areas for future planting
  • Excessive shading
  • Positions of car parks, sub stations and refuse stores
  • Road safety and visibility splays
  • Soil compaction
  • Underground and above ground services
  • Water run off management
  • Wildlife considerations

We work closely with your design team to ensure that the aspects surrounding arboricultural and landscape planning are adequately assessed. Where trees are to be removed and the landscape modified, appropriate mitigation measures can be included to accommodate the new landscape design.
